Why Old Treatments Often Don’t Fit
New windows almost always mean new dimensions. Whether it’s the window size itself, the depth of the frame, or updated trim, the changes can affect how your old blinds or shades fit – if they fit at all.
When to Call Us
We recommend getting in touch a few weeks before your window installation date. That gives us time to talk through your options, schedule your appointment, and make sure everything goes smoothly after your new windows are in.
Important: We can’t take final measurements or start fabrication until your new windows and trim are fully installed. Even small changes in trim can affect how your shades mount and operate.
What to Do About Privacy & Sun in the Meantime
We understand that going without window coverings – even for a few days – can be a challenge, especially in bedrooms or front-facing windows. That’s why we offer free temporary paper shades to help provide privacy and light control while you wait for your new products.
Temporary shades can be easily cut to the proper width with a scissors, and feature an adhesive strip at the top to easily stick inside your window frame. Want to put them up during the day? Simply use the included clip to hold them up. They’re simple, effective, and make the wait a whole lot more comfortable.
