At Bay View Shade and Blind we know that your blinds, Shutters, and Shades are a major part of
the esthetic of your home. You love your home and you love your design. This is why we make
it as convenient as possible to get your system repaired. Our technicians believe in excellence
through honesty and integrity and they maximize their talents through consistent training with
You choose the best way for us to repair it. We are happy to come to you and our
technicians come ready to go with the ladders and tools needed to possibly do your repair in
your home. If repairs are more extensive than our technician can do at home then they will bring
it back to our manufacturing facility to do the repairs and return when the repairs are complete.
We also work with our manufacturers to outsource some repairs to them assuring that we can
take care of all of your needs.
We understand that not all customers would like us to come and do repairs in the home and that
is why we also offer a drop-off service. You remove the Blind, Shade, or shutter and bring it to
one of our 2 facilities to repair.

We must also know the age of the shade, as shades older than 12 years cannot be repaired. This is due to the unavailability of parts, as well as the wearing of materials. (Age information is available on the manufacturer's sticker, usually located on the top of the headrail.)
Due to demand, we are limiting in-home service appointments to customers who purchased their shades from us, and within the past 12 years. If your shade was not purchased through us, it can be dropped off at one of our locations for repair.
The turnaround time for most repairs, done by us, is typically 1-2 business weeks.
Shades that must be returned to the manufacturer for service will take at least 3-4 weeks, and up to 6 weeks. They will also accrue a $50 shipping fee, on top of the cost of the repair (if not under our warranty).

Finally, before taking them in, all shades are subject to approval from a member of our team. Shades that are beyond repair, or that have ripped material, may be rejected. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to the information on this page.
