Due to the increase in demand for service work, we are currently experiencing a large backlog on service calls.

Our expected turnaround for repairs is currently 4 weeks for in shop repairs and 4-6 weeks for repairs sent to a manufacturer.


Due to these delays, we are limiting our service calls to customers who have purchased the shade directly from us in the past 12 years.

This is because not all products can be repaired and shades in this parameter have the highest chances for repair.

We ask all other repair requests to be brought into a gallery for review.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you would like a service call and your product falls under our parameters; we still encourage customers to bring

products into a gallery for the fastest turnaround. However, if you need us to visit, please complete a copy of our

Service call request form linked below and a team member will reach out to you.


Please note: Not all products can be repaired in the home. This means even with an in-home service call,

many products may still need to be taken for repair.


Here at Bay View Shade and Blind, we provide a wide range of service for your existing products.

However, due to the availability of replacement parts, we are limited to working on the following brands:

-Hunter Douglas
-Bay View Shade and Blind's Elite Series
-Bali (On a case-by-case basis)

We must also know the age of the shade, as shades older than 12 years cannot be repaired. This is due to the unavailability of parts, as well as the wearing of materials. (Age information is available on the manufacturer's sticker, usually located on the top of the headrail.)

Due to demand, we are limiting in-home service appointments to customers who purchased their shades from us, and within the past 12 years. If your shade was not purchased through us, they can be dropped off at one of our locations for repair.

The turnaround time for most repairs, done by us, is typically 1-2 business weeks.
Shades that must be returned to the manufacturer for service will take at least 3-4 weeks, and up to 6 weeks. They will also accrue a $50 shipping fee, on top of the cost of the repair (if not under our warranty).

Finally, before taking them in, all shades are subject to approval from a member of our team. Shades that are beyond repair, or that have ripped material, may be rejected. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to the information on this page.


We also provide a large selection of parts for those who wish to do their own repairs. We carry an assortment of cords, brackets, connectors, and motors. We can also special order many parts, depending on the manufacturer's availability.

Parts available generally follow the same brand restrictions as listed above.

Please note: Manufacturers do change their components on a regular basis. We advise bringing in the part you're looking to replace, to best match the inventory we have/can order.
